Our renovations are progressing steadily, with 102 rooms fully completed and 32 more nearing completion. The final phase of room renovations began on January 6, 2025, and we expect all 211 rooms to be finished by mid-April.
Most of our guestrooms will have no elevator access during this period and will need to be accessed through outside entrances via stairwells. This is due to the current phase of our renovation project, which unfortunately does not allow for safe guest passage through the construction zone. As soon as the details of this construction phase were confirmed, we began notifying guests to provide as much clarity and support as possible.

The Cascade Wing was the starting point of our renovation, with 78 out of 110 rooms now completed. Fully renovated room categories are Lodge Suites and Superior King Rooms with Daybed. The next phase started on October 2, 2024 in Rundle Wing with additional 24 rooms now completed and another 32 nearing completion in January 2025. On January 6, 2025, we’ve started the final phase of our room renovations. Our goal is to have all guest rooms refreshed and updated by April 30, 2025.

Yes, our hotel will remain open and fully operational during the renovation period. We’re dedicated to ensuring a comfortable stay with minimal disruption.
Most construction noise is limited to hours of work from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Banff Park Lodge is working closely with the construction team to minimize disruptions outside of these hours, although occasional disturbances may occur in evenings and during the weekends.

The safety of our guests and staff is our highest priority. All renovation work is sectioned off and carried out in strict adherence to safety protocols.
Our pool will be closed from January 19, at 12:30 pm until January 25, at 6 am. Outside of these dates, our health and wellness facilities, including the spa and gym, will continue to operate as usual. Any further changes will be communicated in advance.
